Who I Am

Born in Hong Kong and raised within a traditional family system, my lived experience across Eastern and Western cultures provides me with a deep, nuanced understanding of the unique psychosocial factors that influence emotional well-being. I specialize in addressing the complex interplay of cultural expectations, intergenerational dynamics, family obligation, and identity integration—invisible stressors that frequently contribute to anxiety, perfectionism, and internal conflict.

Based in Sydney, I deliver evidence-informed, culturally responsive psychological support to individuals and families from all cultural backgrounds, including local Australian communities and the broader multicultural diaspora. Through an integrative approach, I partner with clients to navigate anxiety, depression, relational distress, and major life transitions. Together, we work to process complex life stressors, build emotional regulation, develop adaptive coping strategies, and cultivate long-term resilience and self-advocacy.

My Philosophy

Individual counselling provides a confidential, supportive space to navigate personal challenges, process underlying distress, and work through complex life stressors. Grounded in evidence-based psychological frameworks—including CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed principles—we partner with you to identify unhelpful patterns, build emotional regulation, and develop adaptive coping strategies.

Whether you are managing anxiety, depression, major life transitions, or seeking specialized NDIS psychosocial support, our practice offers structured, professional guidance to foster resilience, build daily independence, and help you reconnect with your core values and sense of self.

My Characteristics

  • Rich life experience with a deep understanding of human nature.

  • A profound grasp of the emotional challenges that arise from both Chinese and Western cultural traditions.

  • Able to help clients trace issues back to their roots, gain clear and compassionate self‑understanding throughout the process, overcome emotional difficulties, and ultimately live a meaningful life.

  • Patient, warm, and deeply empathetic.

Professional Experience

Cultural Perspective

Based in Sydney, I provide evidence-informed, culturally responsive therapy to a diverse clientele, including local Australian families and the global Chinese community. I support clients navigating cross-cultural transitions, intergenerational dynamics, and life stress, offering a structured space to build emotional regulation, resilience, and personal clarity.

Clinical Focus

My practice focuses on anxiety, depression, and significant relationship difficulties. I often walk with clients through identity confusion and deeper existential questions, facilitating the inner work needed for lasting transformation.

Our Mission

My role is not to "fix" you, but to partner with you on a collaborative journey toward greater psychological clarity and self-efficacy. By combining evidence-informed therapeutic approaches with a person-centred, compassionate environment, we support you in processing emotional distress, uncovering personal strengths, and building lasting resilience—empowering you to lead a meaningful life aligned with your core values.
